The choir was established in June 2022 on the initiative of the Kraków Philharmonic. It consists of children who, as a result of the difficult situation in Ukraine, were forced to leave their country and found shelter in Poland, where they have the opportunity to continue their artistic development. The main idea of the choir is to familiarise audiences with the richness of Ukrainian culture and to nurture young singers’ ties to their native tradition. During its more than four years of activity, the ensemble has participated in numerous prestigious artistic projects presented at the Kraków Philharmonic. These have included concerts in the Musica Ars Amanda series, annual Christmas carol concerts, the stage cantata Carmina burana by C. Orff, Messe brève by L. Delibes, as well as works by G.F. Handel and J. Haydn. The choir has also taken part in numerous concert tours around Poland, as well as in a performance of the opera Brundibár by Hans Krása. The ensemble won a Golden Diploma at the Chorus Inside Competition in Warsaw in 2023.
