He is a trumpeter, composer, and improviser. He is among those artists who view an ensemble not merely as a collection of instruments, but as a space for exploring music, relationships, and the shared responsibility of creating a unified sound.
Over the years, he has developed a distinctive musical language rooted in the pursuit of a balance between precision and openness. Structure, proportion, and a carefully shaped musical narrative are central to his work, yet so too are risk-taking and a willingness to change direction. Therefore, his music exists at the intersection of discipline and freedom.
In 2019, he received the Fryderyk Award for Jazz Debut of the Year for the album Don’t Hesitate!, recorded with Emil Miszk & The Sonic Syndicate. He has also received six nominations for the Fryderyk Award in the Jazz Album of the Year category.
He is involved in numerous projects, including Pesh, Bled, Tomasz Chyła Quintet, and the period trumpet quartet Tubicinatores Gedanenses. This artistic diversity allows him to explore many dimensions of sound: from large-scale musical forms and contemporary jazz to improvisation and period instruments.
