The richness of folk music has often inspired the \u201cserious\u201d concert repertoire. Originality, sincerity and spontaneity inherent in folk rhythms and melodies gained an artistic quality in compositional arrangements, but they did not lose the authenticity of their prototypes. <\/strong><\/p>\n

This is also the case of the Poem<\/em>, Op. 1 by George Enescu, the Cello Concerto<\/g> by Mieczys\u0142aw Weinberg and Dances of Gal\u00e1nta<\/g> by Zolt\u00e1n Kod\u00e1ly. These pieces, although composed many years ago, are still present in the repertoire and enjoy continuing popularity. <\/p>\n
