Winner of the Fryderyk Award and the Orpheus Award for his \u2018outstanding interpretations of Polish music\u2019, he has been nominated for the \u2018Polityka\u2019 Passport Award for \u2018the sensitivity and intelligence with which he approaches repertoire that is heard with decreasing frequency in concert halls\u2019. Piotr Sa\u0142ajczyk leads an active concert life, while his extensive discography includes albums (recorded for the labels DUX, CD Accord, Anaklasis, H\u00e4nssler, CPO, Chandos, and Naxos) that have won numerous awards in Poland and abroad. In 2017, a four-disc album featuring Juliusz Zar\u0119bski\u2019s complete piano works was released. A year later, the pianist set out to record W\u0142adys\u0142aw \u017bele\u0144ski\u2019s entire piano oeuvre. Together with the Silesian String Quartet, he recorded Mieczys\u0142aw Weinberg\u2019s Piano Quintet (Fryderyk 2018). In 2022, Piotr Sa\u0142ajczyk took over as Chairperson of the Board of the K. Szymanowski Music Society; he is also Artistic Director of the K. Szymanowski International Music Festival in Zakopane. He runs a piano class at the K. Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
