Thanks to the stylistic\u00a0versatility of its\u00a0members, the quartet\u2019s\u00a0distinctive\u00a0sound and energetic\u00a0performances\u00a0also\u00a0reflect\u00a0influences of folk\u00a0music, jazz, and experience with improvisational\u00a0music. The members of Spectrum Quartett\u00a0began performing together in 2009 within\u00a0Orfeus Ensemble (later\u00a0EnsembleSpectrum). Performances\u00a0at\u00a0contemporary\u00a0music\u00a0events\u00a0such as Orfeus, Soozvuk, and AsynChronie\u00a0led to the founding of Spectrum Quartett in 2012. The quartet\u00a0has\u00a0premiered\u00a0works by numerous\u00a0contemporary\u00a0Slovak\u00a0composers, including M. Lejava, \u013d. Bern\u00e1th, J. Kmi\u0165ov\u00e1, J. Ir\u0161ai, \u013d. \u010cekovsk\u00e1, R. Grimm, M. Bla\u017eek, and others. In 2022, the ensemble released\u00a0its\u00a0debut album <em>Cubus<\/em>\u00a0under\u00a0Pavlik\u00a0Records, featuring\u00a0new\u00a0compositions of young\u00a0Slovak\u00a0contemporary\u00a0composers\u00a0dedicated to Spectrum Quartett\u00a0\u2013 by M. Pa\u013eko, V. \u0160ari\u0161sk\u00fd, L. Chu\u0165kov\u00e1, and P. Duchnick\u00fd.
