Bartosz Micha\u0142owski graduated with distinction in choral conducting from Pozna\u0144 Music Academy. In 1998\u20132005, he was assistant to Stefan Stuligrosz and conductor of the \u2018Pozna\u0144 Nightingales\u2019 Boys\u2019 and Men\u2019s Choir, with which he performed extensively in Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Austria, Russia and Japan. <\/p>\n\n
He won first prize in the 9th Polish National Choral Conductors Competition in Pozna\u0144, as well as a special prize for his diligent work on voice production with choirs. In 2015, he won the Orph\u00e9e d\u2018Or of the Acad\u00e9mie du Disque Lyrique, and was nominated for one of the Polish record industry\u2019s Fryderyk awards. In 2020, he received a Fryderyk for a recording of Szymanowski\u2019s opera Hagith (with the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir). He also received two nominations for the International Classial Music Awards 2022. Bartosz Micha\u0142owski is the founder and artistic director of Pozna\u0144 Chamber Choir, one of the leading Polish ensembles of its kind, and of the \u201cOpus 966\u201d Polish Composition Competition. He also devised the \u201cPisz muzyk\u0119 \u2013 to proste!\u201d (\u201cWrite music \u2013 it\u2019s easy!\u201d) composing workshops for children and co-produced the \u201cObrazogranie\u201d (\u201cPicture playing\u201d) project at the National Museum in Pozna\u0144.<\/p>\n\n

Przygotowa\u0142 zesp\u00f3\u0142 do prawykonania opery sakralnej Moj\u017cesz Antona Rubinsteina pod dyrekcj\u0105 Michai\u0142a Jurowskiego (zarejestrowanej w 2018 roku), wykonania i premierowego nagrania opery Paria Moniuszki we w\u0142oskiej wersji j\u0119zykowej oraz do kilkuset koncert\u00f3w wokalno-instrumentalnych Ch\u00f3ru i Orkiestry Filharmonii Narodowej, wsp\u00f3\u0142pracuj\u0105c z tak znakomitymi dyrygentami, jak m.in. Andrzej Boreyko, Ton Koopman, Christoph K\u00f6nig, Matthew Halls, Martin Haselb\u00f6ck, Jacek Kaspszyk i Krzysztof Penderecki. <\/p>\n\n
In April 2024, the Warsaw Philharmonic Choir under his direction recorded a new album \u2013 Pawe\u0142 \u0141ukaszewski. The Adoration. <\/p>\n\n
